From all the above it can be inferred that the celebration of this festival has become an important tourist attraction for both towns and their districts, for several basic reasons:
- It is a festival with a proven antiquity of almost 500 years which has become a tradition and a cultural, identifying and distinctive value of these two towns.
- Despite some authors establishing a link between the character and others extant in the country, the coincidences are not sufficiently argued. Quite the contrary, the festival has an element of great originality both in its story line as in the way it is celebrated.
- With the passage of time, via several channels and for different reasons it has achieved a level of national popularity.
- Celebration of the festival is massively attended, colourful and dynamic, where all those who want to may take part without exclusion of any kind, even for those who turn up for the first time, whether passing through or tourists.
- It coincides with the celebration of local Fairs and other mass events which act as an added tourist attraction.
- On these days local hotels have their highest occupation levels of any time in the year, which is an indication that the event is already a tourist attraction.
